The basis of this film is that a US soccer coach is sent to American Samoa, to coach a team who lost 31-0 against Australia in 2001, and have never scored a goal.

The film itself was nothing particularly memorable, but was equally not bad per se. There’s definitely better films about.

Watched using weekly MUBI go pass at Phoenix Leicester.

Considering it’s meant to be an epic film about Napoleon, it just felt sterile as much as anything. I’m not the most clued up on Napoleon, but it was obvious various aspects were not quite right, or skipped.

In a word, meh.

In short, I enjoyed this film a lot. It's very much a film that is best knowing as little as possible, and just go and watch it.

Watched at Phoenix Arts Cinema in Leicester as part of their monthly mystery film nights.

Also known as Snow White, this silent black-and-white film follows the daughter of the famous bullfighter Antonio Villalta, who is left with life-changing injuries in the opening scenes of the film, and as the alternative title suggests, shares several plot points with the story of Snow White.

Watched Moon at Phoenix cinema as part of their monthly mystery film night.

While not a film I had heard of before, I wasn’t disappointed by the selection. The film focuses on a sole employee based at a moon station for a company harvesting material from the surface of the moon for energy generation purposes on earth. As the film progresses it becomes increasingly interesting following a twist about a third of the way through.

I watched this apart of Phoenix Cinema's mystery film night, of which I've now been to a few of.

The film itself centres around a remote Scottish village, which a US oil company is trying to buy-up in order to expand its refinery.
